Reaching all the way from the the far north-east reaches of the Périgord-Limousin Natural Regional Park, and ending in Isle in the south-west, the Dronne offers everything from calm waters to rushing currents, and along the way, the shore offers beautiful views of the french landscape.
Kayak or Canoe
There are many Canoe or Kayak companies sitting along the Dronne. We took a trip by Parcoul Canoe, they drove us to Chenaud and we made our way back to them by water. We could take as long as we liked and were told to just leave the gear on the side of the river when we arrived as they didn’t expect to be there.
Aubeterre sur Dronne is much closer to LaSig and hosts SNPA Canoe Kayak d’Aubeterre. They sadly weren’t open for business the day we were canoeing, but they have a wonderful website and all companies offer similar opportunities.
